World Strongest Man Eddie Hall announces return to the boxing ring

Known as the Worlds Strongest Man, Eddie Hall has announced he will make a return to the boxing ring this summer.

Eddie Hall is a British former professional strongman best known for winning the World’s Strongest Man competition in 2017.

He gained global recognition for setting a 500kg deadlift world record in 2016, becoming the first person to achieve the milestone under standard competition conditions.

Following his retirement from strongman, Hall transitioned into combat sports, focusing primarily on boxing.

His most notable bout came in March 2022 against fellow former strongman Hafthor Bjornsson, marketed as “The Heaviest Boxing Match in History.”

The fight took place in Dubai.

Both athletes underwent significant weight loss and dedicated boxing training camps in preparation.

Hall lost the bout via unanimous decision.

Since then, Hall has remained active in combat sports training and has expressed interest in further boxing matches, as well as potential involvement in mixed martial arts.

His transition reflects a broader trend of crossover athletes entering combat sports, bringing established audiences from other disciplines.

In addition to his athletic career, Hall maintains a strong presence in media and online platforms, where he documents his training, physical development, and competitive pursuits.

His YouTube channel ‘Eddie Hall The Beast’ has accumulated over 3.45 million subscribers.

Via Bobby_Lad on Tiktok, Eddie Hall has confirmed that he has a fight scheduled for June 13th in Manchester.

The promotion and opponent has not been confirmed.

Eddie Hall went on to mention Darren Till’s name, who is currently one of the faces of Misfits Boxing.
