World-ranked heavyweight added to Itauma-Hrgovic undercard.
When Moses Itauma fights Filip Hrgovic, it will be with the expectation of a nation on his shoulders, a nation who believe he could very well represent them at the highest level of boxing for many years to come.
A very good step-up to begin with, Itauma’s clash with Hrgovic was upgraded exponentially when it was confirmed that the vacant IBF heavyweight championship would be on the line.
Still only 21 years old, a victory on the night would make Itauma the second-youngest heavyweight world champion in history (behind only Mike Tyson) and the youngest heavyweight world champion in British history.
Should he succeed in attaining these distinctions, he is then expected to make his first defence against hard-hitting Cuban contender Frank Sanchez. If Itauma gets past that? Well, we will just have to see.
But before then, he must take care of Hrgovic, an experienced operator who is by far the Englishman’s toughest assignment. And when he faces him, fans will have a full card of great action to look forward to.
That action has only been added to, as it was announced earlier today that new Queensberry Promotions signee Guido Vianello (14-3-1, 12 KOs) will also be fighting on the show.
This arrives a day after the news that David Adeleye (who Vianello was rumoured to be fighting on the card) officially parted ways with Queensberry, leaving Vianello’s potential opponent up to speculation as of right now.
Whoever he faces, though, a great night of boxing has just gotten even greater.
Another thriller in London 🥊🚨
