U.S. venue to potentially host Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua

U.S. venue in play for Fury-Joshua fight.

It is expected that Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua will meet in the ring later this year to deliver to the fans a fight that the entire boxing world has dreamt of for a number of years.

Long-time contemporaries who have never faced off in the professionals, Fury and Joshua are the two biggest figures in British boxing. Their showdown is long overdue.

And it definitely says something when both no longer hold world titles, yet will still probably make for the most successful boxing event in British history.

The only thing really standing in their way are the opponents they will face in the meantime. Next month, Joshua will be facing Kristian Prenga, and it is thought that Fury will be having a warm-up himself the week after.

But aside from that, it is looking very likely that the two will finally do battle in November or around that time. Only, it might end up not being on U.K. shores.

Of course, it was previously assumed that it would be, but Matchroom Boxing’s Eddie Hearn recently revealed that it taking place in the United States was not out of the question.

Now that is looking even more possible, given some news that has been released regarding a potential U.S. venue for Fury vs. Joshua.

The matchup could reportedly be staged at SoFi Stadium, a venue in Inglewood, California, United States. With a capacity of over 70,000, it is scheduled to host 8 matches from this year’s World Cup, next year’s Super Bowl, and parts of the 2028 Summer Olympics.

This news will most likely be disappointing for British fans, but it likely relates to November not being considered the ideal time of year to stage an event of this magnitude due to the weather.

Still, SoFi Stadium is just a potentiality. The venue has not yet been confirmed.
