Tyson Fury vs. Mariusz Wach undercard revealed

Fury vs. Wach undercard unveiled.

Tyson Fury will be returning to the ring later this month in what is expected to be his very last fight before a gargantuan showdown against Anthony Joshua in November.

There was much speculation surrounding Fury’s opponent and where the event would take place before both questions were answered recently.

When they were, many fans were left surprised.

Of the rumours, the strongest stated that Fury would most likely be facing Nelson Hysa and that the bout would be staged in Dublin, Ireland. It was even theorised to be taking up a slot on the Pierce O’Leary vs. Mark Chamberlain undercard.

The reality was quite different, as it was unveiled that Fury would be fighting Mariusz Wach, a 46-year-old gatekeeper from Poland who has fought a number of big names throughout his career.

Not only that, but it is in Thailand at a low-attendance event that will see all of its proceeds go towards children’s charity, quite an interesting addition to the résumé of “The Gypsy King”.

It will be taking place the day before Anthony Joshua’s own warm-up against Kristian Prenga, and both undercards were revealed today.

In the case of Fury vs. Wach, the bill will feature a co-main event between Daniel Baer (15-1-1, 14 KOs) and Simon Ibekwe (6-0, 3 KOs), a heavyweight clash between England and Germany.

Apart from that, the card will include appearances from British heavyweights Arlo Stephens (2-0, 1 KO) and Mark Ahondjo (1-0-1, 1 KO), Australian cruiserweight Lucas Dassios (1-0, 1 KO), and Thai-based British cruiserweight Michael Alan Flannery (14-1, 12 KOs).

As of right now, none of their opponents have been officially announced. Additionally, none of their fights will be aired live.
