The rivals are set to lace up their gloves on December 11.
Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua’s heavyweight clash at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium was previously expected to start at 2am UK time.
The proposed start time was reportedly designed to suit American audiences watching the fight live on Netflix.
Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn had voiced his concerns over that being considered too late.
Now, Spencer Brown has entered the conversation.
He explained to Playbook Boxing: “I think 2am is far too late.
“I think that the general public in England will want to watch it in the pubs, the clubs, you know, around each other’s houses.
“There’ll be a party atmosphere. And I just think it needs to be earlier. Simple as that.
“It’s all in negotiation at the moment but we think it shouldn’t be at 2am. 99% of people would tell you that.
“People don’t want to be in a stadium at 2am freezing. Look we’re still negotiating it, it’s ongoing.”You will find out about that later on, but the whole of Cardiff seems to be sold out already, it will be rocking.”
British fans would prefer a start time closer to midnight, but a curfew will not be an issue in the Welsh capital.
That was one reason Cardiff’s Principality Stadium was selected to host the blockbuster event.
The 80,000-capacity venue also has a retractable roof, offering protection if the fight runs into the early hours.
