Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua contracts reportedly signed; date and location set

Contracts for Fury vs. Joshua reportedly signed.

It appears that we are finally going to see perhaps the biggest boxing match of this era take place, with Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua expected to throw hands at last.

For a few months now, it has been expected that the two will meet towards the end of this year, with the biggest problem figuring out where it would take place.

Now, however, we appear to have confirmation on all the details.

Earlier today, Fury posted to social media, teasing that there will be a big fight to be announced imminently. And indeed, reports are now stating that he and Joshua have signed the relevant contracts for their showdown, with the date and location set.

It is understood that the final details of the fight were sorted out at a meeting this week, with the venue proving to be the largest obstacle.

Now the official announcement is believed to be in the works, with confirmation of the mega affair planned to be made at an “iconic” British landmark early next week.

Both Joshua and promoter Eddie Hearn were known to have been pushing for the all-British battle to be in the United Kingdom, and the same is stated to have been true of Fury.

However, as forecasted by previous rumours, the fight has reportedly been signed for the historic Madison Square Garden in New York City, with a date of the 20th of November thought to be when it will be happening.

That date happens to be a Friday, purposefully chosen to avoid clashing with the NFL. Needless to say, this all means that should British fans wish to catch the titanic event live, they will have to stay up late to do so.
