Tyson Fury teases “monster offer” for Oleksandr Usyk trilogy

Fury teases a massive offer he is set to make for Usyk trilogy.

The gargantuan bout between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua is currently in a very uncertain state. Throughout this year, fans believed that the long-awaited fight was close to being secured. Only, nothing in boxing is ever that simple.

At first, it appeared certain for Wembley Stadium, as was expected. However, talk of staging it early in the morning to suit U.S. audiences quickly came up, and that is where things began to sour.

After that, even the event taking place in the United Kingdom became uncertain, as venues in America quickly became part of the conversation. And suddenly, this all-British blockbuster looked like it might not even take place on U.K. soil.

Then Madison Square Garden became the frontrunner, which was seemingly almost for certain before Eddie Hearn’s firm stance on the fight being in Britain–as well as a plea from London mayor Sadiq Khan–reopened talks for it to be in Wembley.

However, Tyson Fury seemed to give up hope that the bout would be made, stating that Joshua and his team were not signing the contract and making clear his desire to look for an alternative opponent.

It was not long after that Fury specifically named a trilogy with Oleksandr Usyk as his favoured next option, though Boxing King Media contacted Usyk team director Sergey Lapin, and he stated that their immediate focus was on a rumoured bout with America’s former WBC champion Deontay Wilder.

Though Fury has remained adamant that the Usyk trilogy is what he wants next, and he has revealed today on Instagram that he is set to make Usyk a “monster offer” that he will not be able to refuse for a showdown this November.
