Tyson Fury targets Oleksandr Usyk trilogy

Promoter Frank Warren has confirmed that Tyson Fury has expressed his desire for a trilogy fight with Oleksandr Usyk in 2026.

After a 2025 away from boxing, Tyson Fury is well and truly back, and he’s targeting a trilogy with the pound for pound number one Oleksandr Usyk.

Fury will return to the ring on April 11 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium against Russian heavyweight Arslanbek Makhmudov.

The event will be broadcasted live on Netflix.

The bout will be Fury’s first since his second career defeat at the hands of Usyk in December 2024.

Fury announced his retirement from the sport in early 2025, but with retirements a common theme of the Gypsy King’s rollercoaster career, fans never truly believed that Fury was gone for good.

Fury and Usyk contested in two captivating contests for the undisputed and unified heavyweight titles in 2024, with Fury losing out on both occasions in narrow points decisions.

The man that resides out of Morecambe has expressed his beliefs that he deserved the victory in these fights, and has desires of writing those wrongs with a trilogy in 2026.

Long-time promoter of Fury Frank Warren of Queensberry Promotions has spoke to Sky Sports to discuss the 2026 roadmap for Fury.

Warren stated: “He wants to be the best. That’s how he’s always been. He’s told me he wants to fight Usyk again”.

“Tyson’s a fighting man. He loves it. He goes in the gym and when he gets down to serious training, he wants to see an end result and the end result for him is fighting”.

“For me, he doesn’t need to fight. He’s cemented his legacy. But he is fighting on and he’s going to be a great addition to the heavyweight scene. He’s a great personality. The crowds come out for him, this is a big, big moment for his career.”

“This is a tough comeback fight for him. But if he comes through this we’ll see where we go”.
