Tyson Fury has shared his opinion on former opponent Deontay Wilder’s heated argument with Simon Jordan in promotion for his 50th fight.
Tyson Fury has responded to Deontay Wilder’s accusations that the Gypsy King cheated in their famous trilogy.
Deontay Wilder (44-4-1, 43ko’s) had a full day of media yesterday to promote his upcoming fight billed as ‘100’.
Wilder is fighting British cult hero Derek Chisora (36-13, 23ko’s) at the O2 arena in what will both be their 50th fights in professional boxing.
The pair are both at the business end of their glistening careers, with this fight likely to be the end of the road for someone.
Wilder is the former WBC heavyweight champion, and in his prime was one of the most ferocious punchers the sports ever seen.
He lost his crown to Tyson Fury in one of greatest trilogies in modern times.
Wilder claims that team Fury cheated in various ways throughout this trilogy, and that these are the reasons as to why Fury was victorious.
These claims include spiking of Wilder’s water, and tampering with gloves.
Live on talkSPORT boxing yesterday, Simon Jordan questioned Wilder on these allegations.
This undoubtedly hit a nerve with Wilder, and the pair had a heated argument that ended with Wilder storming off the set.
In an interview with Boxing King Media, Wilder explained what caused the argument with Simon Jordan.
Wilder stated: “He doesn’t understand the dynamics of being a white man and being a black man, and I had to give him a little rundown of what it is to be a black man because he has no idea what that means”.
“We told him not to bring up certain situations and characters, but he felt like he should have, and I exploded”.
“That shows that Wilder is truly back”.
“My people have been through a lot, generational trauma, and we’re still dealing with this to this day, to this day”.
“If you’re not walking in our shoes, you will never understand”.
Tyson Fury responded to this interview with Boxing King Media via Instagram, stating “Always bringing colour into sports, total b*****d! It’s hard for all men, get on with it”.
It’s clear to see there is no love lost between these two arch rivals.
