Tyson Fury sends heartfelt message to Anthony Joshua

Tyson Fury sends his thoughts to Anthony Joshua after the tragic events that occurred in Nigeria last December

Tyson Fury (34-2-1, 24ko’s) has shared his condolences to long-standing rival Anthony Joshua (29-4, 27ko’s) in the aftermath of the tragic events that occurred in Nigeria in December.

Joshua was involved in a fatal car crash, where the lives of Sina Ghami and Latz Ayodele were lost.

The boxing and wider sporting world continue to share their thoughts with the close friends and family of Sina and Latz.

Not only were these two close friends of the former unified two time heavyweight champion, they were also vital team members.

As AJ continues to heal, it is unknown if a return to the ring will happen, with his promoter confident of it but not putting any pressure on British boxing’s golden boy.

The talks before the tragic events in Nigeria were that Joshua and Tyson Fury were set to meet in 2026 in the most eagerly anticipated fight in British boxing history.

Tyson Fury will return to the ring on April 11th for the first time since 2024.

He will face Arslanbek Makhmudov at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, live on Netflix.

At yesterdays launch press conference for this fight, the Gypsy King sent a heartfelt message to his foe Joshua.

Talking to the BBC, Fury stated: “Boxing rivalry is one thing, but humanity and human life is another”.

“In this comeback tour I’ve not mentioned AJ one time, I’ve only wished him all the best, and I hope he gets well soon”.

“I wasn’t there, from what I’ve seen it’s been catastrophic and eventful”.

“If the lad wants to come back boxing, fantastic for him”.

“If he doesn’t, he’s done marvellous and congratulations”.

“God has a plan for everybody, whatever his journey is, is his business, and big Makhmudov is my business”.
