Tyson Fury reportedly signs for massive fight.
Tyson Fury is one of the biggest names in the world of boxing, and “The Gypsy King” will be fighting Arslanbek Makhmudov on the 11th of April.
The Morecambe-based Mancunian has held every major world heavyweight title and fought at the very top of the sport, becoming a two-time world champion and appearing in some of the best fights of the division in the last few years.
But at 37 years old, it is clear the Lancashire giant is reaching the last stage of his great career, and this means he will be wanting to go for the most lucrative options for his last few fights.
There is one opponent boxing fans have always wanted to see Fury fight, and it’s someone who has been linked to him many times. Despite this, a clash between the two has always managed to slip through the fingers of the boxing populace.
Of course, this second party would be Fury’s U.K. counterpart Anthony Joshua, fellow two-time world champion and household name.
At one point, a Fury-Joshua fight would have been for all the belts. Now, though, it would be for none of them. However, this has not stopped fans from wishing for the encounter to take place.
According to talkSPORT Boxing’s Gareth A. Davies, it may finally be happening.
“Listen; the Fury-Joshua fight is signed, okay? It is signed in the background”, Davies said. “I’ve got that on good authority. I can’t put it out there as a scoop, but they are moving towards it.”
Given Joshua’s recent struggles involving the tragic loss of his two close friends, it is understood that he will be having a warm-up fight before a potential Fury clash.
Even though there are no marbles on the line anymore, Fury vs. Joshua likely remains the biggest all-British heavyweight showdown in boxing history.
