Tyson Fury confirms Turki Alalshikh is his promoter

Fury confirms that Turki Alalshikh is his promoter.

Last night, Tyson Fury showed up to the UFC Freedom 250 event and teased a major announcement involving Dana White, leading many to theorise just what that is.

White, of course, has made the claim that he will be promoting Fury’s all-British blockbuster bout with Anthony Joshua. However, both Frank Warren and Eddie Hearn have said that the contract outright states that that cannot be the case.

White, however, has remained very confident regarding his claim, questioning why he would state such a thing were it not true.

For this reason, a lot of people think that this big announcement could be that Fury has signed with Zuffa Boxing, which would give White a foothold in negotiations for the Joshua fight.

Whether this is the case or not remains to be seen, with White claiming that all will be revealed soon. How soon is unclear, but we already have a piece of very big news ahead of this announcement.

On his personal social media, Fury posted pictures of himself alongside Turki Alalshikh with the caption, “The promoter of the G.K. ’til I retire.”

Given that Fury was previously signed to Queensberry Promotions under Frank Warren, this is a very interesting statement to make. And as for where it will lead, we will have to see.

Alalshikh, of course, shares a close relationship with White and his Zuffa league, so this new information could come as the precursor to that massive announcement.

At the end of the day, boxing works in mysterious ways.
