Tyson Fury has returned to Thailand as preparations continue for his fight against Arslanbek Makhmudov on April 11th.
Tyson Fury will return to the ring on April 11th after a 15 month hiatus against Arslanbek Makhmudov at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The Gypsy King hung up the gloves for the fifth time in his career shortly after his second successive defeat to Oleksandr Usyk in December 2024.
His team corner received criticism in the Usyk first fight.
Critics claimed that the corner had an overwhelming amount of voices and conflicting opinions, in a fight that Fury narrowly lost via split decision.
The man from Lancashire’s camp was under the stewardship of Sugar Hill Steward.
In assistance to this was former world champion and elite trainer Andy Lee, as well as father John Fury.
For the rematch, John Fury was exiled from the camp, and was publicly unhappy with the decision.
John Fury did not attend the fight, and remains opinionated on the coaching of his son.
Tyson Fury has been training for his return in Thailand for the last 8 weeks, consistently displaying training content on Instagram during this time.
Heavyweight contender and good friend of the Gypsy King Joseph Parker has joined the camp in Thailand.
In an Instagram story, Tyson Fury pans the camera to Joseph Parker.
Fury states: “Look who I have found in camp, he’s here baby”.
“Joe’s my new boxing trainer”.
Parker says: “Yes I will be training Tyson for this fight, we’ve got some good things coming”.
The pair are in a jovial mood and seem to be joking around.
Joseph Parker is still in the process of exonerating any wrongdoing after testing positive for cocaine in the aftermath of his clash with Fabio Wardley last October.
Victory in that fight would’ve seen Parker elevated to full WBO world champion, however now the Australian will have to rebuild.
