The boxing tycoon made his opinions clear this week.
Turki Alalshikh was present on Wednesday evening for the launch press conference of Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua.
Alalshikh is financing the fight and earned much of the praise during an otherwise underwhelming affair.
But he raised eyebrows when discussing the lengths required to bring the ‘Battle of Britain’ to the UK.
New York’s Madison Square Garden had previously been lined up to host the bout.
While the location has been announced as Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, the fight’s start time remains unconfirmed.
However, it is expected to fall in the early hours to suit a US audience.
That effectively ruled out London as the venue and seemingly Dua Lipa from the musical entertainment line-up.
Alalshikh said: “I will be honest today.
“I know that London wouldn’t give me the stadium until 2 am, and I know that Dua Lipa will not perform in the stadium, because she doesn’t like boxing, and maybe she doesn’t like me…”
He continued: “Nobody questioned me about the UK. I love the British people, I try to deliver everything for them.
“Put yourself in my shoes, there’s a situation to lose $70million, the best is to have it in a good time zone.
“I have two reasons, and I know London won’t deliver it, they won’t give me the stadium until 2am…
“Wales delivered it, it’s still UK, the town of Ryan Giggs, let’s do it.”
