Turki Al-Sheikh confirms Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua is signed

It’s a fight ten years in the making, and Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua now appears to be signed to take place.

We got a back and forth at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after Fury returned with a unanimous decision victory over Arslanbek Makhmudov (21-3, 19ko’s).

Everyone at the Ring Magazine and SELA wanted to announce the fight that night, but not everything was agreed.

Tyson Fury (35-2-1, 24ko’s) was agreed, but there was some creases to iron out for team Anthony Joshua (29-4, 27ko’s).

Eddie Hearn has since confirmed that his star man will be having a warm up fight this July.

An opponent has not yet been revealed, but it will likely be of a similar level to Fury’s comeback opponent.

The fight is believed to take place on DAZN in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, before a clash with arch rival Tyson Fury on Netflix this November.

Turki Al-Sheikh has confirmed via X that the long-awaited heavyweight clash between Britain’s two biggest stars is signed.

The post states: “To my friends in Great Britain- it’s happening. It’s signed”.

Undoubtedly, Joshua and Fury are two of Britain’s biggest sporting stars of all time.

Both two time world champions, it’s a fight the sporting world have been pleading for, for over a decade.

As both men enter this final chapter of their careers, it’s certainly now or never.

This news will excite many, but there are still obstacles in the way.

AJ must now overcome his challenge in July, but with a second full camp with team Oleksandr Usyk out in Spain, this should be a formality.

After the tragic events Joshua experienced in Nigeria last December, losing his two close friends Latz and Sina in a car crash, it is remarkable to see him in a ring, let alone gear up to face his biggest rival.

It’s a generation defining fight, who will come out on top, Tyson Fury or Anthony Joshua?
