Tommy Fury to face 100+-pound weight disadvantage against Eddie Hall

Fury to be vastly outweighed by Hall on fight night.

Tomorrow, one of the most curious contests on the current boxing calendar will take place when Tommy Fury squares off with Eddie Hall.

Tommy, of course, comes from the famous Fury fighting family, which counts Tyson Fury as its most well-known member. Though unlike his superstar brother, Tommy has not scaled the full heights of the boxing world.

Rather, he has found popularity by appearing in spectacles against the likes of Jake Paul and KSI, social media stars who used their notability to transition over to boxing.

That being said, Tommy is not considered to be the most skilled of the Fury clan, but he has managed to find what works for him in a pugilistic sense.

His contest tomorrow, for instance, takes place against Eddie Hall, the former World’s Strongest Man winner who possesses minimal combat experience.

Though Hall has competed professionally in mixed martial arts, his only experience in boxing comes in the form of an exhibition bout against Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, his fellow professional strongman.

So, in terms of the fight itself, the biggest point of interest for many was the weight difference, as it was always going to be the case that Hall would vastly outweigh Fury on the night.

And that has very much proven true, as at today’s weigh-in, Fury came in at 217½ pounds. Hall, though? He tipped the scales at 325.6 pounds.

That is a weight difference of 108.1 pounds, and that’s despite Fury coming in at the heaviest of his career.

So, what will win out on the night, Fury’s vastly superior experience or Hall’s vastly superior size?

The answer depends on who you ask. And at the end of the day, that is pretty interesting.
