Timothy Bradley believes fighters like Tyson Fury and Jaron Ennis possess an “unfair advantage”.
Timothy Bradley Jr (33-2-1, 13ko’s) is a multi weight world champion.
In a career that spans over 12 years, Bradley fought the great Manny Pacquiao (62-8-3, 39ko’s) three times.
Not only this, Bradley captured unified WBO and WBC super lightweight gold.
Recently, Bradley Jr has created a YouTube channel culminating over 36,000 subscribers.
The channel brings insider insights and expert analysis on upcoming matchups.
Nicknamed the ‘desert storm’, the Californian has brought up a rather controversial topic in a recent YouTube short.
This topic being fighters with a full beard.
During fight week of Oleksandr Usyk (24-0, 16ko’s) and Tyson Fury’s (35-2-1, 24ko’s) rematch, this was a hot topic.
Team Usyk were questioning Fury’s beard to the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBoC) on fight week.
From being clean shaven in the first fight just a number of months prior, the Gypsy King had a full beard that could “act as padding”.
Nonetheless, Usyk out-pointed Fury 116-12 x3 in the rematch and this minor controversy was left in the past.
However, Timothy Bradley Jr has brought it back to life, and has warned a unified champion ahead of their next fight.
Bradley Jr stated: “All of this sh*t, got to go”.
“If I’m Xander Zayas getting ready to fight Jaron Ennis, I’m making sure the commission make him shave his beard”.
“They have another level of padding, I feel like it’s an unfair advantage for some”.
“Not everyone can grow a beard like that, I can’t grow a beard like that”.
The Puerto Rican Xander Zayas (23-0, 13ko’s) takes on Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis (35-0, 31ko’s) for the unified WBA and WBO super-welterweight titles.
Due to the magnitude of this event, maybe questioning the facial hair of Boots could be a minor advantage to Zayas both physically and mentally ahead of their clash in New York City.
