The Ring partners with popular comic-book publication to make new series.
The Ring has been going for 104 years, and it has become the premier boxing magazine ever since.
The history that has been created by the publication is too long and full of depth to be detailed here, but it has been involved in some of the biggest events in the entire history of the sport.
Now more than just a magazine, The Ring has its own set of rankings, and it also awards its very own title.
The Ring title first came into existence the same year the magazine did, and the very first fighter to receive the belt was legendary heavyweight champion Jack Dempsey.
The Ring title is awarded to whoever is considered the lineal champion in any given weight class. Or in other words, the man who is considered to be the very best in his division.
For this reason, the title is held in very high regard, and since Turki Alalshikh purchased The Ring in early 2025, it has had even more importance placed on it.
Another thing that has happened as a result of that purchase is that the magazine has soared to higher heights than ever before, and it has been announced today that that has been made ever more true.
Earlier today, The Ring announced that they have partnered with Dark Horse Comics, a popular comic-book company that has created characters such as Hellboy and published comics under many licensed franchises.
With Dark Horse, The Ring will be creating a brand-new series titled “The Ring: The Man Who Beat the Man”.
The series will run for 8 issues and will feature a combination of boxing lore and “a fictional merciless landscape” to, in the words of The Ring themselves “beat and become the champion”.
The first issue will be releasing on the 3rd of June and is currently available for pre-order.
