Crawford names boxer he considers unbeatable.
A true modern-day great of the sport, Terence Crawford bowed out in September of 2025 by defeating Canelo Álvarez to become the undisputed super-middleweight champion of the world.
Not only was this Crawford’s third undisputed reign, but it was the fifth weight class where he had won a major title. Both these achievements put him in very exclusive company.
Adding to that further is that the American never officially lost any of his 42 fights (or even touched the canvas, for that matter), which makes him one of the very few boxing champions to retire undefeated.
When he did retire, it was to little complaint. Quite simply, Crawford did everything he set out to do, and he was dominant in a way so few fighters are.
At the time he hung up the gloves, The Ring officially listed Crawford as the number one placement on their top-ten pound-for-pound list, a list he occupied a spot in for years.
Apart from the Canelo win, Crawford’s destruction of Errol Spence Jr. was also one-sided in a way so rarely seen at the elite level. And when it comes to who he thinks can operate under a similar air, the Nebraska native has named a fellow American as his choice.
“I think Shakur [Stevenson will take over] for sure”, Crawford told Fight Hub TV. “Shakur, hands down. I think, given the opportunity, he’s going to show the world that he’s the best. His mental [strength], his defence [sets him apart]. [He] takes his craft serious. He’s the type of fighter that you gotta pull out the gym. [Is he beatable?] Not at all. Everybody [is] beatable, but I don’t see nobody beating him.”
Having recently signed with Zuffa Boxing, Stevenson is considered one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the sport.
