The 30-year-old is beginning a new chapter.
The two-division world champion Skye Nicolson has joined Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions.
Nicolson has worked exclusively with Matchroom throughout her professional career to date.
But now becomes the latest elite female boxer to link up with the YouTuber-turned-promoter’s organisation.
In addition to that, Nicolson will also be the first fighter to compete under the newly announced partnership between MVP and Matchroom.
The Australian said on Instagram: “Women’s boxing is entering a new era, and I want to be right at the centre of it.
“My goal has always been to test myself against the very best and be involved in the biggest fights in women’s boxing.
“I truly believe this move puts me in the best possible position to do exactly that. I’m excited for what’s ahead and can’t wait for this next chapter of my career to unfold.”
Nicolson is now set to defend her WBC super-bantamweight title against Japan’s Miyo Yoshida on August 29.
During her MVP debut, she meets Yoshida on the undercard of Mikaela Mayer vs Chantelle Cameron.
