Shane Fury and Duke Mckenzie have declared who they think should be in Tyson Fury’s corner for his imminent return to the sport.
Tyson Fury (34-2-1, 24ko’s) is back.
The Gypsy King will return to the ring after a 15 month hiatus against Arslanbek Makhmudov (21-2, 19ko’s).
The fight will take place on April 11th at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, live on Netflix worldwide.
This will be Fury’s first fight since successive defeats to Oleksandr Usyk in 2024.
Manager of Tyson Fury Spencer Brown declared at the launch press conference on Monday highlighted that details of Fury’s corner team and fight camp will be released in the coming weeks.
Sugar Hill Steward has been the lead trainer for the former heavyweight champion in recent years.
The two reached the pinnacle of the sport defeating Deontay Wilder twice with an aggressive gameplan.
However, his corner for the Usyk fights come under scrutiny, and it seems Fury will be under new stewardship for his return.
In Monday’s press conference, Fury declared that he does not need a trainer at this stage.
Boxing King Media can exclusively reveal Duke Mckenzie’s opinion who should be his next coach.
Mckenzie stated: “Dominic Ingle, why not”.
“Fury likes to showboat and drop his hands, Dominic can school him a bit better”.
“That wouldn’t be a bad fit at all”.
Speaking to the Stomping Ground, Shane Fury shared similar sentiment.
Shane stated: “For all of Tyson’s career, all I’ve wanted is experience in the corner”.
“There’s a handful in Britain”.
“I’d like to see him train with Dominic Ingle, he seems to be a one stop shop, conditioning, nutritional and everything else”.
Dominic Ingle is well known for his meteoric rise with Kell Brook, culminating with a famous away win against Shawn Porter.
He also had success with good friend of Tyson Fury Billy Joe Saunders, and is widely regarded as one of Britain’s most respected trainers.
