Rumoured Jai Opetaia undercard revealed

Undercard for Zuffa Boxing show unveiled.

Jai Opetaia, the IBF and The Ring cruiserweight champion, will be fighting Brandon Glanton for the Zuffa Boxing cruiserweight title on the 8th of March.

The formidable Australian has been on a tear through the 200-pound division, making five successful defences of his IBF title.

Since 2019, Opetaia has gone 11-0 with 9 KOs, and the only times he has gone the distance has been with the same man: Mairis Briedis.

Opetaia has provided for some very destructive viewing over the course of his reign, with crushing performances over the likes of Ellis Zorro and Jordan Thompson highlighting his sheer ferocity.

While he has been calling for unifications with his fellow champions, he will have to wait a little longer for such fights and will instead get the opportunity to showcase his dominance yet again against the United States’s Glanton.

While we had confirmation of the main event, the undercard action was unknown until today, with the supporting cast seemingly revealed by Dan Rafael on his personal Twitter account.

Ricardo Salas Rodríguez (22-2-2, 16 KOs) is set to square off with Jesús Saracho (16-2-2, 12 KOs) in an all-Mexican welterweight scrap.

Unbeaten American super-bantamweight Adan Palma (14-0, 9 KOs) will face the also-unbeaten Pablo Rubio Jr. (14-0, 5 KOs) to kick off the main card.

The preliminary portion of the show sees Vlad Panin (23-2, 15 KOs) clash with Shinard Bunch (22-3-1 (1), 18 KOs), a heavyweight bout between Joshua Jay Juarez (14-0, 9 KOs) and Jardae Anderson (11-1, 9 KOs), Jaycob Ramos (4-1, 1 KO) and Ethan Perez (8-0, 3 KOs) collide at featherweight, Brady Ochoa (9-0, 2 KOs) taking on Adrian Miguel Serrano (6-0-1, 3 KOs), and Emiliano Alvarado (10-0, 6 KOs) in a test against Erick Rosado (16-4, 11 KOs).
