Radivoje Kalajdzic reportedly set to fight on Zuffa Boxing card in July

Light-heavyweight contender to make second appearance on Dana White show.

When Radivoje Kalajdzic (30-3, 22 KOs) was last in action, he staged an incredible comeback against former light-heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Gvozdyk on the Zuffa Boxing 2 card.

Knocked down in both the first and fourth rounds, the man from Serbia looked for all the world like he was heading towards a loss one way or another.

But something miraculous happened; down on all the cards, Kalajdzic knocked Gvozdyk down in the 7th with two successive right hands. When Gvozdyk got up, his foundations had no supports, and he was bombed over by another massive right to end the fight.

With the win, Kalajdzic was awarded “Performance of the Night”. And of course, it was.

If you ask certain people, Kalajdzic has only lost once in his career when he was stopped in five by Artur Beterbiev. His recent loss to David Morrell divided opinion, and his 2016 loss to Marcus Browne is widely considered a simple case of bad judging.

Well, it now seems that Kalajdzic is going to feature on a Zuffa Boxing card in July, and he is set to fight for the first Zuffa light-heavyweight championship.

His opponent is believed to be Umar Dzambekov (14-0, 10 KOs), who last fought on the Zuffa Boxing 3 card when he performed the frontrunner for the best knockout of 2026, leaving Ahmed Elbiali frighteningly twitching on the canvas in the second round courtesy of a chilling right uppercut.

Kalajdzic vs. Dzambekov is bound to be nothing short of a terrific watch, and it is a worthy fight for the first 175-pound belt of Dana White’s new company.
