Potential comeback opponents for Jake Paul include Chris Eubank Jr

The 29-year-old is assessing his options.

Jake Paul suffered a brutal knockout loss against Anthony Joshua last December, which left him with a fractured jaw.

Following a successful recovery, the American has now been cleared to return to the ring.

Paul had previously suggested he would only return to heavyweight for a showdown with Francis Ngannou.

With that fight seemingly unlikely, smaller, more naturally sized opponents now appear the more probable option.

Nakisa Bidarian has since revealed exactly who Paul could be up against next.

He told Sky Sports: “100 per cent he’s boxing again.

“Jake wants to fight Ngannou, Ryan Garcia, but Tommy Fury is a fight that makes sense. Edgar Berlanga, that’s a fascinating fight.

“I also like Chris Eubank Jr, that’s a fascinating fight. The fighters on the other side also need to be realistic.

“Sometimes their eyes are bigger than what the box office affords us to pay.”

Eubank Jr has been out of action since losing his rematch with Conor Benn.

But the Briton has previously called out Jake Paul and made no secret of his willingness to face him.

As it stands, his short-list is just targets right now, but Paul is reportedly in talks with multiple potential opponents.

Earlier this month, Paul said: “I’m definitely still fighting; we are in talks right now with multiple opponents, and we’re figuring out when to come back.

“[Recovery is] good; I’m going to get cleared officially to spar in the next couple of weeks.

“So we are going to get back to it and continue fighting.

“Maybe I’ll do some MMA, we’ve got a lot of stuff coming with MVP soon.

“Big promotions, getting more into the MMA world. The feud between MVP and UFC continues.”
