Police claim attack was captured on video.
Gervonta Davis was arrested yesterday after evading police for two weeks.
The charges levelled against him are battery, false imprisonment, and attempted kidnapping.
These relate to an incident from October where Davis physically assaulted a woman, something which cancelled his planned exhibition with Jake Paul in November.
TMZ Sports is now reporting that footage from surveillance cameras inside Tootsie’s Cabaret (an adult entertainment club located in Miami Gardens) captured the incident that took place around 4:15 AM on the 27th of October, 2025.
According to Davis’s arrest warrant, the video shows the lightweight boxer forcefully grab the woman’s hair and pull her towards the stairwell. The woman attempts to hold onto the railing, but Davis forces her down towards a doorway.
Officers have stated that two other clips that were obtained depict Davis grabbing the woman and pulling her around by her hoodie and the back of her neck.
Per officers’ claims, two potential witnesses were spoken to, one of whom alleged to there being a previous incident where Davis grabbed the same woman by the neck at a separate club in Miami Beach.
The woman claims that Davis said to her, “You think that I would not find you?” during the incident and that he further accused her of ignoring him.
The surveillance footage aligns with the woman’s claims, who told police she had been working at the club’s VIP section at the time of the encounter. She furthermore stated that she had known Davis since 2022 and had had a relationship together, which she had ended the month previously.
The womain claims that Gervonta Davis was angered over them having broken up and didn’t care that they were being recorded by the club’s security cameras when she warned him of them.
She claims to have blocked Davis from communicating with her in any manner before the assault took place and that there was a “history of unreported domestic violence between them.” The arrest warrant also states that death threats sent by Davis over text were shown by the woman, who reportedly required medical attention following the incident.
The former multi-weight world champion’s bond has been set at $16,000.
