Card for former Olympian’s return has been revealed.
The next fight for Manchester’s Patrick ‘The Bomber’ Brown has been made official, and so has the supporting cast for the card.
The show is headed by Pat Brown (5-0, 5 KOs) facing off against Vasil Ducar (19-7-2, 14 KOs).
Brown, the unbeaten former Olympian, has only been beyond the second round in his pro debut, and the Czech Republic’s Ducar (who has been the distance with Chris Billam-Smith, Cheavon Clarke, Jordan Thompson, and Kevin Lerena) is expected to provide him with much-needed rounds. Their fight will be for the WBA international cruiserweight title.
The co-main event will feature William Crolla (9-1, 7 KOs) fighting Jermaine Osbourne-Edwards (12-2, 1 KO) for the English super-welterweight title.
William Crolla (younger brother of former world champion Anthony Crolla) was upset by Scotland’s Fraser Wilkinson last year, but returned this December with a brutal showing over Harley Hodgetts.
Osbourne-Edwards, meanwhile, is the former Midlands Area super-lightweight champion, having been in with Sean Noakes and Eithan James, challenging the former for the English welterweight title.
Elsewhere on the card, Joe Howarth (14-2, 4 KOs) is returning from his second career loss to Giorgio Visioli to fight Josh Blenkiron (8-0-1, 0 KOs) in an eliminator for the English lightweight title, and young Mancunian Alfie Middlemiss (5-0, 0 KOs) will be taking on Lewis Morris (10-3-1, 1 KO), who recently drew with Ryan Griffiths for the Midlands Area featherweight title.
The rest of the show will feature the return of former cruiserweight title challenger Jordan Thompson (15-2, 12 KOs)–who is coming off a close November loss to Lenier Pero–and Welsh brothers Ioan Croft (5-0, 3 KOs) and Garan Croft (5-0, 2 KOs), who recently signed to Matchroom Boxing.
Overall, it’s a very interesting domestic card led by an acid test for a truly promising prospect. The action will be going down at the Planet Ice Altrincham on the 3rd of April.
