Boxing star’s ex-wife gains two properties in divorce.
Oscar De La Hoya is undoubtedly one of the greatest boxers to ever live. A fighter who won 11 world titles across six separate divisions, the American featured in high-profile bouts against superstars like Manny Pacquiao, Floyd Mayweather Jr., and practically everyone else.
In his time, De La Hoya was the highest-earning pay-per-view fighter of all time, a record that was later surpassed by Mayweather and Pacquiao.
Despite retiring in late 2008 after his loss to Pacquiao, De La Hoya has remained a constant presence in the sport via his promotional company Golden Boy Promotions.
As a promoter, De La Hoya is involved with many big names across the sport. But like any boxer, he has a personal life outside of the squared circle, and he has faced his share of monetary issues in recent times.
Now it has been confirmed (via court documents obtained by TMZ) that Milagros ‘Millie’ Corretjer (De La Hoya’s ex-wife) has walked away with two Puerto Rican properties after the two’s divorce.
One property is located in San Juan and is valued and an estimated $3.5 million, while the other property is at Bahia Beach Resort in Rio Grande and is listed as being worth $10 million.
The stipulation states that both properties were given to Corretjer as her sole and separate property, meaning that De La Hoya has no claim to either of them.
De La Hoya and Corretjer first married in October of 2001, a pairing that saw them produce three children. But despite going their separate ways in 2016, it wasn’t until January of 2023 that De La Hoya officially filed for divorce.
The 53-year-old former pugilistic star is currently in a relationship with Holly Sonders, who he met at a boxing event in 2021.
