Promoter announces new broadcast partner for Golden Boy Promotions.
Oscar De La Hoya’s professional boxing career is one that is undoubtedly that of an all-time great. His title wins across six weight classes, his pay-per-view success, and his résumé that is practically a who’s who of the era.
After retiring, De La Hoya has taken up promoting and found success there, as well. His company, Golden Boy Promotions (named after De La Hoya’s ring nickname of “The Golden Boy” following his Olympic gold medal win as an amateur), is home to fighters such as Vergil Ortiz Jr., Gilberto Ramírez, Oscar Collazo, Ricardo Sandoval, and many more.
Now De La Hoya’s company has announced a multi-year deal with Swerve TV, a FAST (free, ad-supported streaming television) provider that will stream Golden Boy undercard fights.
Swerve will also have access to Golden Boy’s entire library of fights, which includes the classic trilogy between Marco Antonio Barrera and Erik Morales and other fights involving the likes of Floyd Mayweather Jr., Bernard Hopkins, Juan Manuel Márquez, Canelo Álvarez, and Oscar De La Hoya himself.
It is an absolute bevy of content Swerve now have in their possession, and Golden Boy said in a joint statement with its new broadcast partner, “In addition to library content, Swerve TV and Golden Boy Promotions will collaborate on a range of new programming initiatives, including live preliminary bouts for select tentpole events, original studio shows, athlete-focused programming, behind-the-scenes documentaries, and other formats. Together, the companies aim to blend premium fight coverage and historic bouts with compelling cultural narratives that spotlight the athletes, the communities, and the stories shaping the sport today.”
De La Hoya is certainly very optimistic regarding his company’s new pairing, stating that he believes 2026 will be “the best year for Golden Boy.”
Golden Boy’s entire archive will be in addition to Swift TV’s line-up of content from platforms such as Prime Video, Roku, Google TV, and others.
“It’ll entertain new fans. It’ll allow fans to watch their heroes. It’ll take you down memory lane, which is pretty cool”, said Oscar De La Hoya.
