Oleksandr Usyk teases major fight news

Unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk hints at a return to the ring with a cryptic post on the platform X.

The King of the heavyweight division has been out of the ring since July.

Oleksandr Usyk (24-0, 15ko’s) defeated Daniel Dubois via 5th round knockout at Wembley Stadium, to become a three time undisputed champion.

Not only has he defeated Dubois twice, the Ukrainian all time great has slayed Britain’s very best.

Two victories against Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury respectively has undoubtedly crowned Usyk as the modern day King of the blue ribbon division.

At 39 years old, Usyk vows to carry on.

He has publicly stated his desire to fight Deontay Wilder next.

A fight that will add another of this era’s most dominant forces to his resume.

However, Wilder is set to face off with Derek Chisora in what will be both fighters 50th professional bouts.

The WBC stated that Usyk will be ordered to fight interim champion Agit Kabayel after his voluntary defence.

Who the opponent will be is yet to be revealed.

But Usyk has declared that news is coming soon with a cryptic tweet.

Via X, Usyk has stated:

“Very soon, everyone will learn what they’ve been waiting for… Don’t miss it!”.

Despite not stepping foot in the ring since July, Usyk has been busy.

The pound for pound number one unveiled his promotional company.

USYK17 Promotions are set to stage their inaugural show in Ukraine on March 21st.

Daniel Lapin will headline and defend his titles.
