‘The Cat’ has hinted at the possible timeline for his farewell bout.
Oleksandr Usyk vacated his heavyweight world titles last month, bringing an end to his reign at the top of the division.
However, Usyk made it clear that he would pursue one final fight before bowing out of the sport.
An array of potential opponents have since been floated, but Deontay Wilder remains the frontrunner to take on the 39-year-old.
With talks already underway with Dana White’s Zuffa Boxing, attention has now turned to when we can expect Usyk to make his final ring walk.
The Ukrainian superstar told Mail Sport: “Last Dance’ is going to be in the U.S.A.
“Maybe in New York, [in a] stadium. It’s going to be against a big name.
“This could be maybe early next year, or at the end of this year, maybe December.”
He added: “I cannot say about this because now my team work about my next fight.“It could be Zuffa, but now I don’t think about boxing. I think about training for boxing.
“Cardio? Of course. Cross-fit? Of course. Swimming pool? No. Sauna? Yes.
“Rest, time with my family, with my child.”
For now, Usyk seems to be enjoying some time away from the ring after a tough battle with Rico Verhoeven in May.
