New Amir Khan Promotions card announced

Newest card promoted by former world champion unveiled.

The newest card promoted by Amir Khan and Dr. Ezekiel Adamu has been announced.

The show will take place on the 1st of May at the Federal Palace Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria. It will come under Amir Khan Promotions and Balmoral Group Promotions.

The card features a headline attraction between Nigerian social media personalities Carter Efe and Portable, who were recently involved in a dispute that resulted in the arrests of Efe and fellow content creator Kolu Wahala.

The incident stemmed from Efe and Wahala paying an unannounced visit to Portable’s Odogwu Bar, after which a confrontation ensued.

Efe and Wahala were released from police custody earlier today, and now Efe and Portable will get the chance to settle their differences in the ring.

The rest of the card features a host of British and Nigerian names.

Ezra Arenyeka (15-2, 12 KOs) takes on Godday Appah (14-2, 13 KOs) in a battle of big-punching cruiserweights. Arenyeka’s two losses have been to British light-heavyweights Ben Whittaker and Billy Deniz.

Joe Laws (15-4, 5 KOs) collides with Elvis Ahorgah (15-4, 13 KOs) in what should be an explosive clash between two exciting battlers. Laws is coming off a defeat to Amir Anderson on a Misfits Boxing show and gained attention for a 2024 war with Stephen McKenna.

Ahorgah has previously battled the likes of Callum Simpson and Tyler Denny.

Former IBO welterweight title challenger Michael McKinson (27-2, 4 KOs) fights Algeria’s undefeated Mohammad Sahnoun (8-0, 6 KOs), while elsewhere on the card, Samuel Antwi (18-2, 8 KOs) clashes with Paul Kamanga (24-3, 13 KOs).

Antwi is known for producing a viral moment in 2023, when he frighteningly knocked out Mason Cartwright for the British super-welterweight title.

The Congo’s Kamanga is known to British fans for previously fighting Ohara Davies.

The rest of the card features Raheem Animashaun (19-0, 12 KOs) vs. Emmanuel Amos (22-10-1, 13 KOs), Basit Adebayo (9-0-1, 4 KOs) vs. Loren Japhet (20-9-3, 4 KOs), and recent WBC Grand Prix competitor Rasheed Adeyemo (16-2, 9 KOs) vs. Nicolaus Michael Mdoe (15-8-2, 11 KOs).
