The rising star has been offered the chance to announce himself on the world stage.

Moses Itauma is preparing to return to the ring on March 28 against Jermaine Franklin.

Known for his early-round knockouts, the world is eager to see how his next outing unfolds.

The rising star is one of the most exciting prospects in boxing’s glamour division and is determined to claim a crown.

One way to achieve that could be a showdown with Murat Gassiev for his WBA ‘Regular’ heavyweight title.

Speaking to Boxing Social, Gassiev’s promoter Al Siesta said: “Gassiev is in camp now and hoping to fight end of June, beginning of July.

“We are negotiating with a few of the credible heavyweights.

“Our good friend Moses Itauma, who tried to disrupt the situation with Gassiev fighting Pulev.

“I love Itauma, I think he’s a great talent, but let’s see what he can do to Jermaine Franklin.

“If he can beat him in an exemplary manner and demolish like he always does, then why not?

“Gassiev will not be shy in fighting him, I guarantee you that.”

After dominating as cruiserweight world champion, Gassiev moved up to heavyweight, capturing the WBA Regular title with a sixth-round stoppage of Kubrat Pulev last December.

A showdown with Itauma would undoubtedly excite boxing fans, but the 21-year-old must first get past Franklin.
