Mike Tyson shares doubts on Floyd Mayweather Jr clash

Mike Tyson’s latest comment about his exhibition match with Floyd Mayweather Jr has raised concerns.

An exciting year of boxing is well underway, and fans were expecting to see Mike Tyson lace up the gloves in spring against Mayweather.

The two had reportedly scheduled their exhibition fight for April 25 at a venue in Congo.

Although that may no longer be the case due to complications behind the scenes.

During a recent interview, Tyson was asked whether the exhibition would go ahead or not.

In a clip shared by Source of Boxing, the 59-year-old said: “I mean, I don’t know.

“I want to fight somebody.”

While his response has been somewhat ambiguous, an official update on the matchup is expected soon.

Mike Tyson hasn’t stepped into the ring since Jake Paul defeated him via unanimous decision in 2024.

Mayweather, meanwhile, has not fought a professional bout since stopping UFC superstar Conor McGregor in August 2017.

That said, he is set to face Manny Pacquiao in a sanctioned rematch on September 19 at the Sphere, live on Netflix.

‘Money’ Mayweather is coming out of retirement to defend his perfect 50-0 record, putting his legendary status on the line.

Fans, however, are still eagerly awaiting confirmation of whether he will first share the ring with Tyson.
