Manager of Liam Paro reveals hit-list including Manny Pacquiao

The 30-year-old is asserting his dominance within a high-profile division.

Liam Paro put on an impressive performance to dethrone Lewis Crocker this week.

Paro battled through a brutal cut to the right eye to secure an unanimous 115-113 decision win over the Northern Irishman.

The win underlined No Limit CEO George Rose’s ambition to land the biggest names and fights for Paro in Australia moving forward.

During the post-fight press conference, he said: “I’d bring absolutely any one of them down.

“I think the two best divisions in boxing are the welterweight and junior middleweight divisions … the champions that exist there – Devin Haney, Rolly Romero, Ryan Garcia.

“I would love to have any one of them down here, any day of the week.

“They’ve tossed up the likes of Manny Pacquiao, who is still floating around in the welterweight division wanting to fight.

“That would be great to bring that down here as well.”

What else did George Rose say?

Rose believes the 30-year-old’s latest win proved he has the steel and heart to mix it with the division’s biggest names.

Alongside the boxing skill to match.

“I think off the back of that performance, I’d feel confident with any one of those names that we mentioned.

“I think it was one of the bravest performances that we’ve seen from an Australian fighter.

“Liam Paro showed that he truly is elite level. He showed absolutely everything.

“His boxing skill set early to dominate that fight, and his toughness at the back end.

“I think he showed that true Aussie spirit, that Aussie underdog grit, that we see so often in sport because Australians are so often underdogs when we’re taking on the rest of the world.

“He showed that grit that our great Australian athletes have, and I couldn’t be more proud of him.”
