The Northern Irish boxer is gearing up to make his first defence of his newly claimed strap.
Lewis Crocker claimed the then-vacant IBF belt in his hometown of Belfast last September with a split-decision victory over Paddy Donovan.
Now, Liam Paro is set to challenge Crocker for the strap in Brisbane, Australia.
Ahead of their clash tomorrow, Crocker and Paro both came in under the 147lbs limit.
In fact, the rivals tipped the scales at the exact same weight ahead of their showdown.
Despite being dubbed the underdog, Paro is confident he will prove his doubters wrong.
The Australian believes home advantage could prove crucial as he targets a second world title in a new division.
Having previously held the IBF junior welterweight title before losing a points decision to Richardson Hitchins in 2024.
Paro explained: “The underdog talk already tells me something.
“But everyone processes things differently.
“That’s the way he deals with it. It’s different to how I deal with it.
“We’re not the same men.”
Lewis Crocker added: “If you ask 99 people here, they’re going to say Paro is going to win.
“Everything’s meant to happen for a reason.
“We’re in Australia, fighting the biggest fight of my life; that’s all I’m focused on.”
