Las Vegas venue the frontrunner to host Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua

Fury vs. Joshua to potentially take place in Las Vegas.

As of the last few months, it has appeared that the clash between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua is as close to being finalised as it ever has been.

Contracts were reportedly signed, both men seemed to be on board, and The Ring even revealed that a special belt made of 100% gold would be on the line.

All that appeared to stand in place were the fights that Fury and Joshua were to have beforehand, with Joshua’s bout against Kristian Prenga happening next month and Fury expected to be back out in August.

Only, things got exponentially more complicated when Fury made an appearance on the UFC Freedom 250 event earlier this week, with Dana White teasing a big announcement to be made soon.

White had previously claimed he would be promoting Fury vs. Joshua, which both Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren stated could not be the case because of the official terms of the contract.

In addition, the presumed location of the United Kingdom was thrown into doubt when Hearn claimed that a venue in the United States was also a possibility. And last week, the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles was specifically named as being in the running.

Hearn seemed to calm British nerves by revealing that the contract stated the fight must take place in the U.K. However, that no longer appears to be the case.

Reports from earlier today state that a venue in Las Vegas is the new frontrunner to stage the fight, with the projected month of November considered too unpredictable weather-wise for a Wembley show.

Ultimately, from what we kmow, nothing is official. However, this latest piece of news seems to be likely as of right now.
