Keyshawn Davis shares his prediction for the Ring Magazine’s Teofimo Lopez vs Shakur Stevenson showdown at Madison Square Garden.
WBO world lightweight champion Keyshawn Davis (13-0, 9ko’s) has made his prediction for the pound for pound mega fight taking place this Saturday at Madison Square Garden (MSG) between Teofimo Lopez (22-1, 13ko’s) and Shakur Stevenson (22-0, 11ko’s).
Keyshawn Davis is defending his world title for the first time on the undercard of the Lopez vs Stevenson Ring Magazine event against Jamaine Ortiz (22-2-1, 10ko’s).
The main event is a hardcore boxing fan’s dream with the pair widely regarded as two of America’s greatest fighters of this generation.
The hometown boy Lopez is on course to sell out MSG, a venue that has hosted some of the sports most iconic fighters.
Shakur Stevenson is moving up to super lightweight for the first time to face Lopez, if successful he will become a four weight world champion at just 28 years old.
In his way, Teofimo Lopez is on a run of three successful title defences, after defeating former undisputed champion Josh Taylor to win the belt.
The pair have been full of respect for each other in the build up, however in a fight that sells itself, the pair are both exuding self belief.
Keyshawn Davis and Shakur Stevenson are widely known as very close friends, with the pair previously stating that they would never fight each other
In a recent YouTube video on Keyshawn Davis’s personal account, Davis shared his prediction for Lopez vs Stevenson.
Davis stated “I feel like Shakur’s going to dominate him, like easy money”.
“Shakur’s IQ is on a different level”.
“He’s one of the best fighters in here, I’m one of the best fighters in here, we are the best in the sport, it’s time for us to show it”.
“He got a great chance of stopping Teofimo Lopez, for sure”.
