Katie Taylor vs. Flora Pili undercard to reportedly be announced in press conference

Taylor vs. Pili undercard to reportedly be made official next week.

Katie Taylor will be taking her final bow in September when she faces Flora Pili in a bout that will be contested for the undisputed super-lightweight world championship.

The contest will be taking place at Croke Park, a venue in Dublin that has a capacity of over 82,000. Taylor sold out the stadium in a mere 30 minutes, a testament to the Irishwoman’s popularity and star power.

Given that, a lot of Taylor’s fans might not even be concerned about the rest of the show. However, there will, of course, be an undercard.

This undercard is reportedly set to be revealed in a press conference next Tuesday, and there are a few fights that have already been rumoured for the line-up.

The first of these expected bouts is Joe McGrail (13-0, 6 KOs) vs. Matthew Boreland (7-0, 2 KOs). This is a super-bantamweight clash featuring fighters from England (McGrail) and Northern Ireland (Boreland).

The next one is Taylor Bevan (9-0, 8 KOs) vs. Emmet Brennan (6-0, 1 KO). Bevan is a heavy-handed prospect who went the distance for the first time on Saturday. He would be taking on Brennan at super-middleweight in another England vs. Ireland matchup.

Third is an all-Irish affair between Paddy Donovan (15-2, 11 KOs) and Tyrone McKenna (25-6-1, 8 KOs). Donovan is coming off a thorough outboxing of Karen Chukhadzhian, while Donovan most recently stopped Dylan Moran.

Lastly is Dave Allen (26-9-2, 20 KOs) vs. Thomas Carty (11-1, 9 KOs), the third England-Ireland battle that would see two heavyweight ticket-sellers duking it out with each other.

But ultimately, none of this is 100% confirmed yet. We will have to wait until next week to see exactly who will be appearing on this show.
