Promoter claims announcement of cruiserweight’s next fight will be soon.
MF Pro is set to kick off 2026 with a very intriguing heavyweight dust-up between former long-reigning WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder and grizzled veteran (and former two-time WBC title challenger) Derek Chisora.
The bout sees America’s most successful heavyweight of the last two decades square off against one of Britain’s most popular heavyweights of the modern era, and it promises to be a truly interesting spectacle.
Though the main event is firmly set, little has been heard of what will feature on the rest of the card. There have been faint whispers, but nothing said with a great degree of confidence.
However, it appears likely that one fighter in particular will be on the undercard, and we have a fairly good idea of who he’ll be going up against.
Viddal Riley (13-0, 7 KOs), the reigning British cruiserweight champion, is rumoured to be featuring as the co-main event, and his opponent is expected to be European champion Mateusz Masternak (50-6, 33 KOs).
Though this has been the word for a while now, an announcement is yet to be made. But in an interview with Fred Talks Fighting, Kalle Sauerland stated, “Hoping next week. And we’ll have a separate press conference for that, as well.”
Sauerland then went on to say that KSI could possibly be there for it, with Viddal Riley having trained the YouTuber for his rematch with fellow social media influencer Logan Paul in 2019.
Since then, Riley has forged his own path in boxing, winning the English title and the British title more recently in a win over Cheavon Clarke. But most recently, he has signed with Misfits Boxing in a return to the influencer scene that gave him his initial popularity.
Should Riley beat Masternak, he would earn his third domestic title at the weight, enhancing his name in the United Kingdom’s cruiserweight picture.
