Johnny Fisher receives “life-changing” fight offer

Johnny Fisher declares his loyalty to Matchroom as he has been offered a “life-changing” fight by a different promoter in the last 24 hours.

Johnny Fisher is gearing up for a big 2026 as the Romford Bull looks to write the wrongs of 2025, a year where Fisher was on the end of his first career defeat.

The man from Romford has had a meteoric rise since turning professional in 2020.

For a man with very little to no amateur experience, Johnny Fisher has developed a fan base of thousands of fans, a unique situation for a prospect.

In his first 15 fights, Fisher has already headlined and packed out the Copper Box Arena twice.

His relatable personality alongside his hilarious family have made him a real fan favourite in British Boxing over recent years.

Fisher’s only career loss to this date came in a rematch against the experienced and motivated David Allen at the Copper Box last May.

Since then, Fisher has teamed up with Tony Sims at the Matchroom gym in Brentwood, and is improving everyday under his stewardship.

A knockout victory in Monaco last December has set up a big 2026 for the Romford Bull.

It was widely reported that Johnny Fisher was set to fight Jeamie TKV for the British Heavyweight Title this Spring.

Sources suggest that Jeamie TKV will now face Richard Riakpohre in the co-main event of Tyson Fury vs Arslanbek Makhmudov in April.

Johnny Fisher has been offered a ‘ludicrous’ offer in the last 24 hours by a different promoter for a ‘life-changing’ fight.

Speaking to The Stomping Ground, Fisher stated:

“I’m loyal to Eddie, Barry Hearn. I’ve got a lot of time for them”.

“In the last 24 hours, I’ve had a life-changing offer by someone else”.

“But I’m Matchroom, money is not my good, I want to stay and be with Matchroom, but it’s hard”.

“I’m a Matchroom man in my heart”.

“Eddie’s aware of it, it’s a ludicrous amount. I don’t know what to do”.

“My heart is saying Eddie Hearn and Matchroom, it’s the biggest pay day of my life, me and Eddie Hearn are working on it now”.

Johnny Fisher is set to fly out to Australia today to have some time away with his family while the discussions over his future continue.
