Questions remain over whether their long-rumoured clash will ever happen.
After watching his son Tommy Fury defeat Eddie Hall last month, John Fury challenged Carl Froch to settle their long-running war of words.
Froch accepted the challenge, but there has been no update on whether the contest will materialise.
At the start of the month, the 49-year-old took to YouTube to call out Fury for ‘vanishing’ from negotiations.
But now, ‘Big John’ has hit back at Froch’s comments by confirming his stance on the matter.
During a video he uploaded to Instagram, Fury said: “About my situation with the worm, because I’m not going to relate to him, I don’t want to give him any content, but I’m still waiting for the contract.
“They’ve not sent it yet; Misfits are dragging their heels a bit.
“So, Misfits, get on with it, sharp.
“Let’s get training, get this fight on, because I haven’t got that much time to waste, so I need to get this fight on as soon as possible. So that’s all I’m going to say on it.
“It’s not me, it’s them. I’m waiting on them.
“Contract, I got the pen in my hand. Let’s get it over to me, quick.”
What did Carl Froch say on his YouTube channel?
The former super-middleweight world champion certainly did not hold back from sharing his opinions of Fury.
He said: “He’s gone quiet again. He doesn’t stop going on and on and on, he doesn’t shut up.
“Then it gets put on to him, DAZN have been on to him, Misfits have been on to him, Kalle Sauerland, the promoter, has been on to him.
“He’s gone into hiding, he has vanished. Does anyone know where John Fury is? I’ll need to check in the cupboard.
“So just know when you listen to him next time, or you watch him punching a wall, this is confirmation Big John Fury is not a fighting man.
“He’s absolutely full of gobs****. Don’t forget, I’m not the one who wants this fight; I accepted the challenge.
“He’s called it on with me, and I’ve said ‘let’s do it ‘, and he’s said he’s got somewhere else to be.
“It’s pathetic, and that’s the end of Big John Fury, and he’s not a fighting man.”
