Jarrell Miller to officially work with Eddie Hearn again

Jarrell Miller to officially fight in world title eliminator.

Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller is an individual who has attracted much controversy throughout his career.

The loud-talking American is perhaps best known for having failed a drug test that scuppered a 2019 fight with Anthony Joshua for the unified heavyweight championship.

Rather than welcoming “AJ” to the United States, Miller was forced to sit on the sidelines as he watched fellow American Andy Ruiz Jr. upset Joshua to become the three-belt champion.

Upon a planned comeback fight against Jerry Forrest, Miller would fail yet another drug test that saw him banned from the sport for a further two years.

In recent times, Miller has fought Daniel Dubois and the aforementioned Andy Ruiz Jr., and he also went viral on social media after his toupée was punched off by Kingsley Ibeh in his most recent fight.

In addition, Miller has had two rounds of failed negotiations with Derek Chisora, a collapsed Fabio Wardley fight that saw Miller nonetheless provide plenty of verbals at the press conference, and a doomed Michael Hunter showdown that resulted in a recent lawsuit from Don King.

Needless to say, it has been far from smooth sailing for the 300-pound Brooklynite, but there is now a potential path forward for the divisive American.

Miller (27-1-2, 22 KOs) will officially be facing off against Cuba’s Lenier Pero (13-0, 8 KOs) in a WBA title eliminator.

The event will be taking place on the 25th of April at the Fontainebleau in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.

Humorously, the fight is being billed as “Hair Raiser” in a reference to the popular moment in Miller’s fight with Ibeh.
