Full Garcia vs. Benn card made official.
On the 12th of September, Ryan Garcia and Conor Benn will be throwing down in a battle of popular, controversial figures for the WBC welterweight championship.
A bad-blood affair that has seen both men engage in verbal fisticuffs way before they have physical ones, the main event is one that sells itself. However, the full undercard has now been announced, and there is plenty to go at.
Firstly is the co-main event between the former two-time IBF cruiserweight champion Jai Opetaia (30-0, 23 KOs) and two-time WBC titleholder Noel Mikaelian (28-3, 12 KOs). The bout will be contested for Opetaia’s The Ring and Zuffa Boxing belts.
Before then, America’s 21-year-old rising heavyweight Da’Mazion Vanhouter (12-0, 9 KOs) will face experienced Nigerian puncher Raphael Akpejiori (19-3, 18 KOs) in this third straight Zuffa Boxing appearance. And lastly on the main card, former WBC featherweight champion Mark Magsayo (29-2, 19 KOs) faces Andres Cortes (25-0, 13 KOs) at lightweight.
Of the preliminary portion of the show, Mexico’s 19-year-old Oswaldo Molina (9-0, 4 KOs) squares off against Pablo Rubio (15-0, 5 KOs) in a battle of the undefeated, while Abel Gonzalez (8-0, 6 KOs) will take on Raúl Solomon (16-4-1, 14 KOs) at super-middleweight.
Before then, Vlad Panin (24-2, 16 KOs) will be facing off against the game Dakota Linger (17-7-3, 13 KOs) in the super-welterweight class, which will come after former unified super-lightweight champion Jose Ramirez (29-3, 18 KOs) throws down with welterweight contender Alexis Rocha (26-2-1, 16 KOs).
Finally, in the matchup that will open the show, Ryan’s younger brother Sean Garcia (7-1-1, 2 KOs) will be stepping back into the ring for the first time since a 2024 stoppage loss to Amado Vargas when he goes up against Abraham Morales (4-1, 2 KOs).
