Frank Warren has stated his willingness to join forces with Eddie Hearn once again to stage a mega event in Dublin this summer.
Frank Warren and Queensberry Promotions are off the back of a sold out 3 Arena in their return to Dublin, and its got the hall of fame promoter thinking.
For so many years British Boxing was centred around the rivalry of Frank Warren and Eddie Hearn.
Making fights across Queensberry and Matchroom stables seemed close to impossible during these times, but boxing has evolved.
Riyadh Season and Turki Al-Sheikh’s entrance into the sport in 2023 ignited a working relationship between the two promoters, and some of the sports biggest fights have been made since.
As of 2026, the boxing landscape seems to be evolving once again.
Frank Warren’s relationship with Turki Al-Sheikh seems to be deteriorating, but the boss from North London is still insistent on putting on the biggest events for his fighters.
Hearn and Warren now find themselves with the same broadcaster, so that removes one obstacle in negotiations out of the way.
After Queensberry’s successful return to Dublin, Warren wants to return to the fighting city in a bigger way.
This is where working with Eddie Hearn comes in.
One of Matchroom’s and Ireland’s greatest ever sporting stars Katie Taylor (25-1, 6ko’s) is set to have one more homecoming fight before hanging up the gloves.
Croke Park is the desired destination, but with stadium costs believed to be three times the costs of Wembley Stadium, this is not as straight forward as everyone hoped.
Hearn is hopeful that the Irish authorities are more keen to make this a reality than previous times, and speaking to The Sun, Warren stated:
“It is something that we’re open to putting on big, big, big shows. That’s what we do”.
“If that could be done, if it works, if it works out for everybody, then yeah, I haven’t got a problem with that”.
Dublin born Queensberry star Pierce O’Leary (19-0, 11ko’s) impressed this Saturday stopping Maxi Hughes (29-9-2, 6ko’s), selling over 2,000 tickets from hand for the fight.
