Frank Warren set to clash with Dana White and Zuffa this August

Whilst the two are yet to engage in verbal back and forth, Frank Warren and Dana White are set to have clashing shows this August.

It was reported that Frank Warren and Queensberry were preparing to bring Moses Itauma (14-0, 12ko’s) to the O2 Arena on July 25th.

However, the announcement of Anthony Joshua’s return to the ring put these plans in jeopardy.

It was up to Frank Warren to either find a new date, or go toe to toe on DAZN with arguably Britain’s biggest commercial star of all time.

A new date of August 8 is now in place with the venue staying the same.

Itauma demolished Jermaine Franklin last time out in Manchester, in front of a sell out Co-op Live.

Now it’s time to bring the so called ‘future’ of the heavyweight division closer to home.

Up the A2 from Itauma’s residence in Chatham, Kent, the O2 could become a home for Itauma in the near future.

Before the days of Wembley Stadium, the O2 Arena was a hub for the emerging stages of AJ, could history be repeating itself?

The opponent has not been revealed for the 8th of August, but one thing is for certain:

Itauma’s return to the ring is set to clash with with Zuffa Boxing’s first show in Ireland on Sky Sports.

Callum Walsh is set to headline on Sky, as Dana White continues his boxing endeavours.

Zuffa’s entrance to the sport has been filled with nothing but controversy.

One thing everyone can agree on though is that they are here for the long-term.

Financially backed by Turki Al-Sheikh and SELA, initial intentions were to disregard all existing promoters and governing bodies.

Whether Zuffa are finding it a more difficult task then anticipated is unknown.

Whilst Sky Sports is a massive platform, they will find it difficult to compete with Britain’s next star in Moses Itauma.
