In true Tyson Fury (34-2-1, 24ko’s) fashion, the Gypsy King has major plans for 2026.
Fury was last in the ring coming up to 16 months ago.
2024 saw Oleksandr Usyk (24-0, 15ko’s) defeat Fury in consecutive fights, handing the 6’9 heavyweight his only career defeats.
His lead trainer for these fights was the legendary Sugar Hill Steward.
Fury retired in early 2025, but with retirements being a common theme of an illustrious career, most fight fans knew a return was inevitable.
Live on Netflix, the Gypsy King is back and will face Arslanbek Makhmudov (22-2, 20ko’s) on April 11th at The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Speaking to DAZN, Frank Warren laid out a 2026 roadmap for the former world champion.
“Tyson’s got his finger on the pulse of what he wants to do,”.
The fight that was initially planned for 2026, and what all fight fans desire is Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua.
With the tragic car crash that Anthony Joshua (29-4, 27ko’s) was involved in last December, other options are on the table for Fury.
Warren stated:
“I don’t feel he [Joshua] will be ready, but if he is and he wants to, Tyson’s there. If he doesn’t, Tyson will want to be having a big fight in August or September. That’s what he wants.
“Last year was about his TV series. His other commitments and documentary. This year is about getting to the number one position and that’s where his head is.”.
Before any future fights are finalised it is imperative Fury sees off Arslanbek Makhmudov (22-2, 20ko’s) on April 11th.
