Dana White is seeking huge names for Zuffa Boxing, as he looks to assert his dominance in the sport.
Zuffa Boxing has already made waves in the boxing world, despite hosting its inaugural event just last month.
Dana White launched the promotion with a headline bout between Callum Walsh and Carlos Ocampo at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas.
White has been actively expanding his roster, signing new talent and building the foundation for the promotion’s future.
In the latest development, Zuffa announced the signing of Conor Benn, who was previously partnered with Matchroom Boxing.
But White is not stopping there.
According to the Boxing Writers Association of America (BWAA) accredited journalist and Fights ATW founder, Abraham Gonzalez, Andy Ruiz Jr will be the next man to pen a deal with Zuffa.
Ruiz Jr first sent shockwaves through the boxing world when he took on Anthony Joshua.
The Mexican knocked Joshua down four times en route to a brutal seventh-round knockout win.
Six months after the shock result, Joshua avenged his defeat and regained his position atop the division.
Since then, Andy Ruiz Jr has fought just three times.
His most recent bout against Jarrell Miller ended in a contentious draw back in 2024, and a fractured hand forced Ruiz to step away from the ring to recover.
The former unified heavyweight world champion has now confirmed he’s back in training, aiming to reignite his career.
Confirmation of whether or not that will be under the guidance of the White-led promotional outfit is expected to follow in the coming weeks.
I’m hearing that the Andy Ruiz to Zuffa Boxing deal may be done and announced soon. I posted the below on January 22nd. #Boxing https://t.co/PLEMr2G0gz
