The boxing legend is willing to risk his perfect record in 2026.
Floyd Mayweather Jr is currently gearing up to face Mike Tyson in an exhibition bout.
The pair are reportedly to be sharing the ring on the 25th of April in the Congo.
Although Mayweather is not planning on stopping there.
In a shock turn of events, the unbeaten legend has confirmed he will be reversing his retirement for a fourth time.
He explained: “I still have what it takes to set more records in the sport of boxing – from my upcoming Mike Tyson event to my next professional fight afterwards – no one will generate a bigger gate, have a larger global audience and generate more money with each event, than my events.”
‘Money’ is set to make his professional return this summer, though his opponent has yet to be announced.
Over the course of his illustrious time in the professional ranks, Mayweather captured titles across five weight classes.
His most recent pro bout came in 2017, when he stopped UFC superstar Conor McGregor in the tenth round.
Mayweather’s victory over McGregor saw him achieve a perfect 50-0 record, and shortly after reaching that milestone, he announced his retirement.
He has spent the intervening years competing in exhibition fights.
But nine years on, ‘Money’ will now risk his record later this year.
He confirmed that his comeback will be alongside CSI Sports/FIGHT SPORTS.
A joint statement from CSI Sports co-founders Richard and Craig Miele reads: “Signing Floyd Mayweather to un-retire highlights our commitment to providing our global audience with the most high-profile fighters in the sport.”
