Arslanbek Makhmudov shares chilling comparison to friend Khabib Nurmagomedov ahead of his showdown with Tyson Fury on April 11 in the UK.
Arslanbek Makhmudov (21-2, 19ko’s) sends chilling message to Tyson Fury (34-2-1, 24ko’s) ahead of their scheduled clash on April 11th in the United Kingdom.
Makhmudov is coming off of an impressive points victory over British Boxing cult hero David Allen last September in Sheffield.
The Russian giant has been calling for this fight ever since Tyson Fury announced his return to the sport.
The Gypsy King announced his retirement from the sport shortly after his second defeat to the pound for pound number one and all time great Oleksandr Usyk in December 2024.
After what will be 15 months out of the ring by April for Fury, Makhmudov has been selected as an opponent to pose Fury some resistance, but to ultimately shake off the ring rust before the two time heavyweight champion sets his sights on the pinnacle of the sport once again.
Boxing King Media can exclusively reveal Arslanbek Makhmudov’s thoughts on his upcoming fight with the Gypsy King that will be broadcasted live on Netflix globally.
Makhmudov stated: “Everyone is very happy, it’s a dream become true you know”.
“Now he knows my name, now he knows I’m his opponent, now he’s getting ready for a fight with me”.
“We’ll see on the 11th April who’s king”.
Makhmudov was questioned on how he plans to handle Fury’s antics in the build up to fights.
Makhmudov responded, “For me no problem, because I’m coming from the street. I’m from Dagestan, this means nothing”.
“People who do stuff like that means they have problems, it shows weakness”.
“We saw it once when Irish guy [Conor McGregor] speaks a lot of bullsh*t, and one Dagestan guy Khabib Nurmagomedov my brother, doesn’t say any bad words but he shows the world and destroys him”.
“That’s why you need to be careful”.
Khabib Nurmagomedov famously submitted Conor McGregor in round four of what was arguably the most anticipated UFC fight of all time.
Makhmudov was further questioned on fighting in the UK once again as an away fighter and in response, the Russian stated: “Last time I had 10,000 against me, but with me was god, Alhamdullilah”.
“Hey Gypsy King, be ready for the Lion King, I’m coming”.
