Hearn states when Fury vs. Joshua will be resolved.
The ongoing story of the potential heavyweight superfight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua is one of the longest-running examples of a boxing match that fans do not really know if they will get to see or not.
It has escaped our grasp several times, yet developments over the course of this year gave boxing fans renewed hope that we would finally see it occur.
Only, a difficulty arose with something that many would have previously thought was the easiest part: the location the bout would take place in.
It seemed obvious that a fight between two British superstars would take place in the United Kingdom, yet as of right now, Madison Square Garden is the leading venue for the fight to be staged in.
However, there is some uncertainty as to whether or not the bout will go ahead, with Eddie Hearn battling for it to be in the United Kingdom.
Either way, the Matchroom Boxing boss has now stated that the situation will be sorted out by tomorrow.
“One way or another, in the next 48 hours, this will be resolved”, Hearn stated yesterday on The Ariel Helwani Show. “To be honest, I’d like just to go, ‘F**k you lot. Do what you promised us’, right? ‘Do what we signed for.’
“No-one’s acknowledgin’ that we [already] signed a contract for the fight … But at the same time, I don’t wanna lose the fight, because I’m sick and tired of this fight not happenin’. And I know we’re gonna go in there, and I know AJ’s gonna knock him out.
“Where it is, in my opinion, is not gonna alter the outcome of the fight.”
Ultimately, nobody can truly say at the moment if we will ever see Fury and Joshua share the same ring.
